Thank you Marc! Thank you Harlem Stage! 

Thank you to everyone who celebrated Abbey Lincoln's legacy at the Harlem Stage this past Thursday. Marc Cary put together an incredible array of artists for this night: Sameer Gupta, Reggie Workman, Terri Lyne Carrington, Edmar Colón, Trina Basu, Marika Hughes, and Randy Noel.

 

Antoinette Montague Honored at Rutgers University 

Dear friends,

Newark native Antoinette Montague is presented with the Women in Media - Newark Award for Lifetime in Music and Service in Jazz. She will be performing music with her group "The Antoinette Montague Experience”, and has invited singers Kameelah Harper and Jackie Gage to share a few selections during the evening. Band members include Danny Mixon on piano, Melisa Slocum on bass, Bobby Sanabria on drums, Lakecia Benjamin on sax, Alex Cowing on tap dancing and vocals.

Marc Cary presents "Mothers of the Movement" tribute to Abbey Lincoln

Jackie returns to San Jose Jazz Summer Fest 

California! Jackie Gage joins the San Jose Jazz lineup, closing the Jade Leaf stage on Saturday Aug 12, 10pm. All stages tickets are needed for this performance, and prices start at $40 for the day. Festival headliners include Chris Botti, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Carmen Lundy, and Robert Glasper Experiment. See you on the West Coast!

Jackie Joins Unity Walk 

This Saturday, Jackie Gage will perform alongside guitarist Misha Josephs, celebrating the second annual New Jersey Unity Walk. This free event starts at 9am, at the intersection of McAdoo and Martin Luther King Drive. The walk end at Lincoln Park, where the park will be filled with events, food, and various community activities throughout the afternoon.
